We stayed at the nh Palermo for four nights and were more than impressed with the room and staff. Our room was recently renovated and had second room attached with a lounge and a second lcd tv.The free buffet breakfast was fantastic and all the staff were very helpfull. The outside of the hotel is a little shabby but inside is clean and tidy.

Really helpful staff, except 1 or 2. Breakfast is excellent and overall the hotel is very clean. Location is good although not super central. Maybe 10-15min walk to the central station. Next to the hotel there is also a bus stop so it is not the end of the world.
When we arrived we were given a twin room, while we booked a double. The night receptionist told us that the room will be changed in the morning as we arrived at 2am. In the morning we were told that there are no double rooms in all the hotel and all they can do is to join the beds. While we were joining the beds I realized that 1 of the beds had the wooden base broken so after another complaint they changed the room to a double room. It turned out that there were 2 top floors of double beds! There is also a very unhelpful receptionist (female). All she does is looking at the pc monitor and maybe she realizes that there is someone in front of her after 2 minutes. All the others where really helpful. The bathrooms are also in need of refurbishment.

Expensive hotel with the service and comfort which come with. Note however that we stayed on the renovated part of the hotel. The other part (where we were initially planned) is very old and ugly so you need to book a superior not a standard room to be on the right side! Nice pool but drinks were very expensive (14 euros for a small coke and a Martini).

The hotel is in the oldest part of the city, La Kalsa, and is within walking distance of many of Palermo's attractions: elaborate Baroque churches, art galleries, Teatro Massimo etc. The front of the hotel looks out over the Tyrrhenian Sea, and to one side are the botanical gardens and the Villa Guilia, a beautiful park laid out in the 18th century. NH Palermo also has its own very attractive garden and outdoor pool. What more could could one wish for. I would stay there again.

This place was an excellent fit for a quick stop in Palermo at a reasonable price. The pool is fantastic and well-maintained, perfect for a refreshing dip after exploring. Just be aware to check for any pool bar delays if you're looking for a drink.

Location was good - reasonably quiet
Lift and restaurant capacity unable to cope with numbers of guests. Swimming pool seasonal (closed in October) why?

Appreciated the marvellous and fab location to eat out at excellent reasonably priced nearby restaurants. Besides, we were near a fish restaurant and centre of town.

I had an amazing experience at this hotel! The breakfast spread was delightful with fresh pastries and plenty of options. The pool area was a lovely oasis, perfect for unwinding. I also appreciated the complimentary water and fruit in the lobby.

The views if you get a sea view room. The spacious rooms and public areas. The swimming pool. The breakfasts (we didn't have any other meals there).
Rooms without sea views. The road at the front of the hotel.

Comfortable stay with room for improvement
We enjoyed our two-night stay, but cleanliness in the bathroom and limited room amenities stood out. The hotel's breakfast spread was good, and the ambiance had potential but could use some liveliness. Upgrade options seem promising. Just be proactive if issues arise.
